Sustainability

We’re proud to have implemented a number of sustainability initiatives throughout the Hotel and Lodge and within the design, construction and general management of Monarto Safari Resort. These include but are not limited to:

  • Local indigenous planting throughout the landscaping, enabling the reduction of water needs and providing flora for the native wildlife and birdlife
  • Installation of energy saving room card readers to manage the energy consumption of lightning, air conditioning and other electrical items within occupied and vacant rooms
  • Solar panels on the roof and electric vehicle chargers in the car park
  • Double glazed windows and insulation throughout the walls and ceilings, low energy light fittings, and pool covers
  • Hardwood timber finishes throughout for greater strength and longevity, and solid timber decking and framework
